My veterinary hospital always had a “clinic” cat who visited the staff and our clients. He would relax on the reception counter, accepting free petting and affection. You’ll need to have a reliable structure to get the idea past your boss. I’ll explain the “shoulds” and “should nots” of rules and accountability.
